Sitting here waiting for some guy to come look at our smoke detector cause the real estate says it's scheduled for a service. he said he'd be here between 8:30am and 10:30am, it is 9:30am by my watch so he doesn't have much time. At least 50% of the time in my experience, when tradesmen or service people make an appointment for the morning they either turn up early or they turn up 5 minutes before the end of the appointment "period" or late. I hope this isn't one of those times.

Later I'm off to help with some presentation that some dude from KPMG is coming to give for my society thing. It hasn't been very well promoted like previous events we've held, due to the "on again off again" nature of actually being able to get the resources together to hold it, then it was all put together over the last 3 days not leaving much time to spread the word. :/ So I hope we get enough people to come along so he isn't presenting to an empty lecture theatre.
