I have a love/hate relationships with reading articles like this one -> Home runs on a winner as net widens bit by bit
. Basically the article is about BitTorrent and how widely and easily accessable it is to anyone. But they don't just stop at that, they drag the music industry into it even though the article is really talking about the film industry, they come up with cracker statistics like this:
"But, it said, it was difficult to prove a causal link between internet piracy and a 20 per cent revenue drop experienced by the music industry between 1999 and 2003."
I remember years ago when America was in recession after the dot com bust that the percentage figure of revenue reported to be lost was much higher, at least 50 to 100% higher than that 20% figure, I guess someone actually must have told them to be more realistic and revise that figure because every time I see an article like this written that figure gets smaller and smaller.
But seriously right, who is tired of articles like this. Its a boring a sloppy article, what do they pay these "entertainment reporters" to do at The Age?
Meh, I'm feeling hella sickly and annoyed, don't mind me.
