So its the business end of my semester, I have 4 weeks until exams, I have 2 presentations, 1 test and 4 essays to do before the end of it so I'll be pretty busy :F . I can't wait to finish this semester, the slightly warmer weather recently has got me feeling better about life and once I pass all my subjects for this semester (yes thats right, I think I might actually pass this semester without having to freak out about failing!) I'll know I'm really on the home stretch to finishing my university degree. Wow, I actually start feeling a little excited when I say that out loud to myself. I know I'll probably be right back where I started with working and all, getting a low wage, being treated like I'm too young (or not enough experience) to do anything, but I'll be happy for a little while just to get back out in the workforce and have a little regular job that can bring in some beans for a while, I need the beans, I'll have been without full time beans for just under 5 and a half years when I finish so it will have been a long time coming.
Then after working for the man a little while I think I'll think up something to do to strike it out on my own, thats what I really want. I want to be a part of something that I will enjoy and can share with others, something I can put all of my effort into without having to think its all for nothing but a paycheck, something that will hopefully bring a bit more financial freedom to my life and then with the freedom I'll feel relaxed enough to pursue those egalitarian goals without feeling like I can't provide a decent life for myself.
But thats down the track.
This holidays, I might go get a job. Although I'd probably have to start pursuing one very soon if I want to get hired in November, although I think I'd prefer to sit on my arse for a while directly after exams and screw around doing nothing, and by nothing that means catch up on other shit I've been promising to do for other people, like SCFS stuff and helping astro with study and doing family business stuff and etc.
I guess I'll see how it pans out.

A German, a Frenchman, and a Russian are on safari when they're captured by cannibals. They're taken before the chief of the cannibals.
"We're going to eat you right now," he says. "But I am a humanitarian. I studied philosophy at the Russian Friendship University. Therefore, I will grant you all one last request."
"I'd like a bratwurst and beer," says the German. The cannibals promptly bring him the comestibles.
"I'd like three girls," says the Frenchman. The cannibals gladly comply with his request.
Then the Russian says "I'd like you to punch me in the face."
Looking a little puzzled, the chief asks the Russian if he's sure that's what he wants.
"Oh, very much," says the Russian. And so the chief punches him in the face. Thereupon, the Russian whips out a Kalashnikov and guns down all the cannibals.
"Why didn't you do that in the first place?" asks the Frenchman.
"We Russians are not aggresors!"
