The society presentation thing went well, enough people turned up and the guy was pretty informative. Had some great catering for nix too. Tonights ecommerce lecture was extremely boring, I ended up giving an impromptu presentation on DRM (Digital Rights Management) to the class as the lecturer had no idea what I was talking about when he asked the question "What is/can be done to protect peoples copyright on the Internet?" and I answered with DRM. I thought he was fucking with me when he told me to come up and show an example of DRM to the class, which I did with a bit of difficulty as some of the concepts of DRM (well the one main model I know well from Intertrust, thanks to my old work) can be a bit dicey unless you have a little technical understanding, but after a bit of reading off webpages to the class and drawing diagrams I think I got the point across.
But anyway, the point I was gonna get across was the fact that our lecture knows so so little on the subject he is teaching, and the lecture slides/tutorial work he uses is so dated that its laughable and makes me cringe. Like this one question on this weeks tutorial was to go to mp3.lycos.com and then comment on if what they are doing is legal or whatever, but lycos have changed the url for starters to music.lycos.com and have also cleaned up their game considerably since it first started hosting and making mp3s searchable (years ago), so I dunno its all a bit pointless.

Yawn i'm tired and making less sense, point is, ecommerce lecture bad, impromptu teaching to class bad, being home good.
