What night was it.. Yeah Wedenesday night I had a group meeting with some folks from the society im involved in, it turns out that some of these guys had just had there last ever lecture at Swinburne and they were feeling pretty happy to be winding up their undergraduate experience. Therefore (and I really should have been prepared for this) much beer was bought before we had even offically had got our meeting underway, and by the end of the meeting, many of us were pretty merry (drunk).
So just before the meeting was ajourned, due to the fact that we had lost about half of the group to going home or generally just wandering off somewhere else, the last item we decided to add to the agenda was that of purchasing a race horse. Ok so it wasn't a REAL race horse but it basically involved us playing this horse racing video game. Which was actually pretty cool, you know, for a horse racing game. It basically involved button mashing at the right time and then figuring out what the horse likes to eat between races to give it power ups in the categories you wanted it to get better in (sprinting, endurance, cornering etc), then you'd have these bonus games where you can upgrade your horse if you beat the challenge. The game was also hooked up to the Internet so on some races we were racing against horses from the UK and also the US (I was surprised there weren't any Koreans on this game levellording their horse :PP ). So after a while and about $10 or $12 spent between us we had a record of 4 wins out of 9 races, which was actually a really good record compared to the other human opponents who had 3/32 or 8/60 or something like this. After your finished with the game the machine prints you out a little card which you can take with you and resume the career of your horse at a later date on another machine. Pretty cool.
Anyway, after this we headed off to another of glenferries establishments, I'm not sure why but one of the guys i was with knew the owner or something and wanted cheap drinks. Anyway on the way I got BBNT which ended up tasting so good probably because I was drunk and hadn't eaten much. We then got to where we were going and got more beer and played some foosball, you know, the game with the little soccer men on poles that you spin around and try to get the ball to go in the other goal. That was some fun for a while, then I went to get more beer and then I got bailed up by some guys talking about music piracy on in the Internet and blah blah, one of them told me he makes "moonscapes" which is a term I had never heard of before, but after some discussion it's basically his musical interpretation of ambient music with NASA/space samples in it, something i would probably actually listen to! Anyway after a while the conversation ended when they started to try and convince me to go back to one of there places to smoke pot, I've encountered these people before in my life, when you say that to someone it basically means that they are going back to their house to pull some SERIOUS AMOUNT OF BONGS and pass out, something I don't envision myself doing again so I delined, they seemed pretty bummed as I think they felt they had made a new life long friend since I actually listen to there ideas on music etc without rubbishing them. Oh well.
Anyway after that we were kicked out of the place when the owners wanted to go home. Someone drove us down to riversdale rd bottle-o for beer and then drove us to one of the dudes house where we drunk more beer and played texas hold em poker (or whatever it is), at least now I pretty much know how to play the bloody game, I've seen it on TV a few times but never played with chips and all that jazz. We had some rules where if you went "all in" and lost you had to drink the rest of your beer bottle, needless to say I never went all in cause I was really hammered by this point and was thinking about going home, but two of the other dudes were doing it all the time and got extremely hammered. Poor guys they got pretty sick in the end.
Anyway, the night ended with me stubbling home across a few city blocks to my place. Somewhere along the way I visited a 7-11 for water, cause I came home with a 7-11 water bottle. Ummm it was the most drunk i've been in a very long time, I'm getting bored writing this post. The End.
