Ok so maybe I sounded a bit down about my job in my last post. It is not that the job is bad, it is more of the fact that this whole working for a big corporation in a job that has a fair bit of autonomy is something very new to me and I don't feel very confident in what I am doing at the moment.

Today wasn't too bad, I basically got everything else I needed set up and started making baby steps towards what I need to do. It would appear that I am going to have to wait until next week before I can really anything useful as that is where all my initial meetings with people who have information about my project are scheduled, are they are going to be after my orientation thingy at the start of the week so I feel like I am treading water until then and feel like I am pretty much doing nothing. Although I have been doing something, it is a weird feeling.

Also I am still getting use to the fact that I have to get up every morning at the same time 5 days a week, I haven't had to do that for almost 6 years due to uni/tafe and my various old jobs being afternoon/night jobs, it is going to take some getting use to.

A colleague at work just told me to relax and take it one day at a time, I think I might just listen to that advice for the moment. Here is hoping tomorrow will be better than "not too bad".

PS - I forgot to mention that yesterday during lunch I heard a busker on a Tuba playing the Super Mario Bros game music, that put a smile on my face.
