So anyway, today I had a meeting about an assignment with some of my fellow students, and to my surprise one of them had a Japanese PSP (yep, the white one), man it looks so cool, he had like this logitech case thing which really seemed to suit carrying around the PSP in. He told me he got his old man to buy it for him in Japan 2 weeks ago when he was there to try and get him a v1.5 firmware version one, Japan now only sell v2.0 unless you can get old stock. Cool thing was that this dood knew all about the mad warezing of the PSP so he has already done the 2.0 to 1.5 downgrade thingo and its worked a treat, he even said he did his mates EUR/AUS 2.0 PSP and it worked, so now he can play like any game and play SNES and megadrive emulators, which work really well btw. He has a 1 gig memory card and usually has two iso's going on it at one time, although some games are coming out that barely fit on the 1gig card. I got to have a play on it and I was really impressed, I thought i'd be squinting and seeing all sorts of crap wrong with draw distances and the such but the PSP basically gives you everything you could want from a handheld gaming device. Infact using it today and getting the goss on how easy it is to do all the mods (dumb people on forums make it sound so hard and scary like you will brick your PSP 99% of the time or some shit) makes me really really want to get one. I think as a treat I will buy myself one for an early bday/christmas present after I finish exams (if I can afford it) and then ebay a 2gig memory card and then live the handheld gaming high life!!!
