Today was a good day as I ended up getting some good group members for my ISP subject (Information Systems Project). What constitutes a good group member for me is someone that doesn't shy away from doing ANY work and someone who isn't wanting me in their group purely to get me to code 99% of the work requirements. These guys I got don't want me to do that, this is excellent, now I won't have to slave my guts out to churn out a decent program. One of the guys currently is working pretty heavily with Oracle db's for work and the other used Oracle at her IBL (Industry Based Learning) with Sensis last year (which I was surprised that Sensis would even use that!). So that really leaves me off the hook! Hooray!
I almost got suckered into a group with some international students who i was chatting to before class, I really like them but I could tell they were sizing me up to be "The Programmer" for them. I declined there early offer to join then and decided to wait and see if anything would arise in my favour, which is unusual for me as I usually just go "Sure why not, I'll join your group" to people and then realise that they pulled the wool over my eyes to them being pretty imcompotent. So I am REALLY REALLY glad I didn't take the easy route and waited.
In other news, I just had an afternoon nap, I don't generally do this so I must have been tired! HTH.
