Man there is some door banging outside of our apartment somewhere. I thought it was downstairs near our carport or something but whenever I go downstairs everything looks in order and shut tight. I am starting to think the madly slamming door is actually in the apartment directly below us. This is a problem because I think there are people renovating that place and are hardly ever there, so the slamming may go on all night (it is really really loud and makes you jump when it slams really hard). I guess the only thing I can do is leave a note on their door asking them to keep their windows or doors closed when they are not there. I hate writing notes for the neighbours, it makes me feel like I am being a picky barstard.
Today serp went to the city, on his way he kept reading some Neuromancer which he had started the night before. Serp had to drop by the Swinburne Library to pick up a copy of Nineteen Eighty-Four which he had on reserve (Yes serp is the only person to have not read these books), he then switched to reading 1984 and caught the train. Serp then got to the city and departed the train, he then ate a Zinger Burger and a beachcomber from feeling fruity then serp walked through Melbourne Central looking at shit on the way to Myer for the 20%/10% off one day sale where nothing jumped out at serp to buy for his family for 'mas. So then serp went and bought himself a pair of underwear on the way out cause, you always need to buy underwear when its cheap. Serp then went and got his mum a 'mas present from the Sony Store in the city where the dude behind the counter remembered me from ages ago and gave me shit for buying something else from the chapel street store, serp couldn't be bothered telling him that the reason why serp did that was partly because everyone in his store apart from him (the guy giving serp shit) were deadshits and knew less about their product range than serp did (And it is not like serp study the fucking Sony sites or advertising pamphlets anymore than maybe an hour every 3 to 6 months) so then serp left for the train station while enroute, serp walked past some extremely cute puppies which serp wanted to buy and bring straight home (wish we had a yard for pets!) then serp ducked into Coles for some HAPPY FUN FUN AWESOME run-of-the-mill shopping action. Then serp caught a train direct to Camberwell since the next train going to my station was coming for around 30 minutes, then serp walked back alleys all the way to my house (which actually ended up being a hella quick shortcut).
Serp is now about to go to bed but is busy listening to Noel Sanger's unreleased breaks remix of Big Country - "In A Big Country" (Remember those guys?) and blogging.

18 tricks to teach your body. Some pretty cool stuff in here, now I know how to get rid of that stitch that I use to get when I went running!
I just discovered that one of my all time favourite early 90s (1994 release but I'm sure it was around in 1993) "trance" tracks Pete Lazonby - Sacred Cycles main defining sounds are actually ripped pretty much directly off Genesis - "The Fountain Of Salmacis" from their Nursery Crime Album. Fucking hell what a let down! Here I though Lazonby was the one who made up that cool sweeping sound. Sorta reminds me of what one dude on a music forum I read read something like "In the end it kind of all comes back to Genesis and Pink Floyd sometimes, huh."
Got that fucking right.
Got that fucking right.

I am sitting in bed blogging on my mums new laptop over a strong wireless connection. This is a new experience for me and it rules! No cords! And through walls!
So now I got all this stuff running at my parents house tomorrow I'll head down to where they work and start doing some other stuff. Seems I have a bit more to do than expected, hope I get enough time to get through it all!
Some pretty cool thunder storms came rolling through this way tonight, most of it missed Bendigo but I sat outside and watched a lot of the others, they were extremely loud and quite visual, good times.
Got my leg looked at today, its nothing special (well so my dad thinks) so I'll just put some Kenacomb OTIC ointment on the patch of skin and hope for the best.

Going to Bendigo in the morning, gotta take up a laptop that my mum bought and a wireless adsl modem/router which actually works a treat in this flat, I was able to get connectivity from inside my car! Not sure if that has more to do with the router or the laptop but I found that pretty impressive considering I thought a $130 wireless adsl/router would be a POS. The only functionality it doesn't have is VPN and VoIP, but it is not like my parents need any of that stuff for home use anyway. I just hope I can replicate the good signal strength out at their place like I can here, otherwise I'm gonna have to take a trip to the Bendigo dealer of Jaycar for some better antenna action.
I like driving to Bendigo, whether it is with someone or on my own it is always a nice drive, however driving back is always annoying as hell, probably because you have to do the dealing with crazy city traffic when you've just been driving 110kmph for 2 hours.
I'll be coming back Sunday arvo if everything goes well, hopefully early enough to go to astro sisters birthday dinner at Mish in Camberwell. Mmmmmm Mish.

I haven't read jerkcity in like a year or something, so today I go back and see this crab/lobster thing over the last 4 strips which for some reason I find hilarious, with this one being the funniest (for what reason I don't know).
EDIT: Ok it seems he is in older strips too.

You know how somedays you feel insane? Well feel good in the fact that you are infact, not insane. Well not not as insane as some supposedly sane guy cutting his own balls off over a rugby match.
What an absolute moron.
In other news, my last exam went well, I now smell of beer and smoke after having a few with some uni guys, Who are in actual fact a really nice bunch.
Now I have no idea what to do with myself, I hate feeling like that after exams and also kinda enjoy it. :)

Ok now its 12 hours to go till exam time. I'm up reading recent sharemarket events over the last 5 months for exam revision. They are actually putting questions in the exam which test your knowledge on recent events in the Australian and American stock markets. Yes it is stupid I know, from last semesters exam it could be anything from name 3 companies that have posts X amount of profits in the last reporting season to who is the CEO of X company, totally random and pointless. They told us we could access AFR for free through the library portal so we wouldn't send ourselves broke buying it. The truth is that you CAN read the AFR but not in a very easy manner, you can search for single articles but you can hardly browse through it and read whats important. Sucks.
Anyway so I've been bonering around the Internet reading shit and I come across the fact that Google's share price have gone over $400 per share. That is crazy and fairly unfounded in my book, but man if you bought shares in it 15 months ago you would be laughing (Although I think it would be very hard for small time investors to get shares at good market rates, i'll have to check up on that).
Now if I could only figure out the timeframe over which Google's share price is going to spiral DOWN, then I could make a killing!
Yawn, bed and then more reading in the morning.

So i have my final exam in just over 14 hours, the study has been consistent of the last few days but not a frantic pace, just doing what I feel I need to know to do alright. They gave us a study plan of sorts to follow for this exam. Just telling us what topics will be covered in what areas of the exam etc. However when I compare this plan with last semesters exam it looks pretty much identical. So tomorrow I'll turn up and about two thirds of the exam will be exactly like last semesters exam or I'll turn up and everything will be different and I'll be sent into a tailspin. I think you all know what I want to happen.
After the exam tomorrow I'm going to head down to the nearest pub and have a few largers with some people from school. For some of them tomorrow will be there last exam for their course so everyone should be in pretty high spirits, I hope it'll be fun.
*NEWSFLASH*
Some girl outside our flat just screamed out "I HAVE A PERSONALITY!" WTF? Now it sounds like her and some dude are having some sort of low level arguement, please fuck off and die neighbours.
*END NEWSFLASH*
Ok so where was I? Oh yeah, final exam, yeah umm, its over tomorrow, thats good news.
Now I totally forget what I was going to ramble on about.

Somedays I seriously think I am getting Arthritis, I crack and creak and feel sore in my finger/hand/other places joints. In the mornings when I wake up its worse, I can hardly bend my thumbs and then doing so (unfortuently with force) causes some pretty loud and high pitched snapping noises, I sometimes wake up at night sleeping on my hands and have to move all my fingers/thumbs to stop then seizing or hurting. I really have to get myself checked and implement some sort of drastic "save my bones" self medication, otherwise I'll be screwed when i reach 35-40.
Meanwhile my chest is still feeling rather heavy and throat and windpipe a bit sore when i breathe deeply, wtf is wrong with me? Good thing I'm going to see my dad soon.

This whole Intel's new P4s allow multiple OSes to run simultaneously could be interesting, however the more I think about it the more I realise that even if I could just switch into linux/OSX/windows just like that I would probably only just switch into OSX to use Logic (which I have never used before because by the time I had heard of it they ditched releasing it for windows) and not even bother installing linux because I have no use for it anymore (except for 'learning' new stuff).
Also I wonder what would happen when windows crashes? Could you tell it to reboot and then just switch into the other OS while you wait for it to load? That would be good.
My chest hurts, I go to bed now.

Ack, I inhaled some Baygon spray earlier by accident and not I have a sore, tight chest and my throat is starting to hurt a little. Stupid me.
Seriously, this woman next door just won't stop smoking. I don't understand it, the warmer it gets the more she smokes. I remember when I use to smoke I use to smoke LESS in summertime and more during winter, weird.
Why is it everytime I open our balcony door to let some air in the woman next door comes out and smokes on her balcony and thus stinks out my flat? It fucking pisses me off! I don't think she has a job or anything so she is ALWAYS fagging away! She sits up our end of the balcony too, away from her door, it is like she doesn't want to get the smoke in her place but is quite happy to let it blow into ours, fucking hell. The last person to live next to our balcony was a cigerette totting 3am-talking-on-his-mobile-outside-his-flat-waking-up-everyone-in-the-building twat.
I hate nearly all my close neighbours, they just never stop smoking/shut up/partying really late/have their music up super loud (I am such a grandma). All the long timers (people who have lived here longer than me) all live down the entrance side of the building and are generally pleasant and aren't noisy. I wish they lived up our end.

I so can't be bothered studying for my last exam. I've been doing it pretty half heartedly today and since tomorrow is Thursday and I've got the exam Monday I had better get serious about it tomorrow. It's a short 2 hour exam and it *should* be fairly easy if I study more for it. For this subject you only have to score 50% OVERALL to pass a subject, no minimum requirement on the exam, and since I already have like 30 to 35 marks out of 40 (can't remember exactly) and the exam is out of 60 marks I only need to get over a quarter of the exam right to pass. I guess I should really be aiming for a high mark to get averages high, but I just don't give a shit about GPA. Thats what it amounts too. I wish I cared more and I'm positive it'll come back to bite me in the arse someday but I just do not care about achieving high marks. I think after you've achieved high marks you either keep achieving them because you feel bad for getting anything lower than that or you just stop caring cause that goal is over. For me the goal is over, well over, so tired of uni.
Don't mind me, after Monday I won't be so dreary (SP?).

Check out the snazzy look of the 200gb iPod Nano!
For the last three days at about 4pm I get a call from some electricity companies telemarketers. Everytime I pick up the phone there is a delay of a few seconds and then somebody with an indian sounding accent starts blurting "Hello? Hello?" and then when I say "Hello" again they start their speil in a very agressive way. They ask me if they can speak to the person "In Charge" of the electricity bill, since my name is not on the bill I say I am not and that "she isn't here", they then get even more grumpy (after a long pause) and ask when will "he" be home (Everytime I've said "she") I've always told them to ring about 7 or 8 as thats when astro will be home the earliest, they say they will ring back then, they never ring back, they always ring the next day at the same time, IT'S REALLY FUCKING ANNOYING! Doesn't anyone take notes there? There should be some sort of incident/client reporting going on so they don't constantly ring the same number at the same time every day to get the same result. Tomorrow if I get a call from them I'm going to fucking let them have it and get as shitty as I can and make myself as annoying as possible to them, fuck 'em.
Ok I probably won't, but I'll most likely point out how frivolous there attempts to get in contact with the right person at this number and ask them not to call again.

So i had my tough IF exam today, I have mixed feelings about how I went. I wrote flat out for the whole two and a half hours of the exam, I did not slack off for one minute, however I still ran out of time. Poor time management between questions was a problem, I spend around 100 minutes on two questions (We had to do four questions) which only left me 50 minutes to get the other half of the exam done, not good. I don't think that any of my questions answers were brillant but I feel like I'll score enough to scrape through. No surprises were on the exam, which was good.
Only one or two people left the exam early, others that I talked too afterwards said they all ran out of time aswell, so I guess its good to know I wasn't the only one struggling. Usually after a draining non stop writing exam like that I have a sore wrist, but today I emerged with a sore left wrist, elbow and shoulder. Bloody hell!
So now I only have one exam left, Banking and Finance Markets, should be less stressful than the last two, Then i'm done for 2005. Huzzah!

Yes still studying, I'm worrying myself a bit cause I feel like I have this exam a little bit under control. Like have all the notes and information I need to at least pass the exam and thats causing me to relax, perhaps relax a little too much cause I still need to be able to memorize my notes and spew them out in some coherent fashion Monday afternoon. Oh well I'll be going full tilt tomorrow I'm sure!
Meanwhile, people who own ugg boots or fashionable variants of ugg like boots should not be allowed to wear them outside (unless you live in a place where it snows or can possibly snow every year) and pretend they are fashionable. It's not fashionable, it looks stupid! Seriously how can you think that wearing those boots and tight jeans or tracksuit pants look good together? I mean COME ON PEOPLE!

Yeah, this group studying thing, I think it is working for me. The last two days i've been at the library with this nice group of people studying for my IF exam. I don't think I actually get a lot of physical study done, ie. taking notes doing a shitload of practice questions etc. However just being able to bounce shit that I'm thinking off a whole bunch of people who are doing the same subjects as me is really quite helpful, and to know that people struggle with the same shit that I do doesn't make me feel so useless. Plus I get my arse out of the house which is always needed. So yeah, group studying equals good.
So what else has been up? Not much really, thinking a bit about whats going to keep me busy over the holidays. Lots of working for my parents probably, a bit of studying on things I want to learn hopefully but I'll probably just waste time listening to a lot of music and playing with more production techniques for my sets.
Oh and gaming, lots of gaming.
Ahh free time, I'll be with you shortly.

One exam down and two to go. I think I did alright today, there were two questions were on the exam I didn't really have a decent answer for, but since the test was out of 9 questions and I thought I did at least 5 of them 100% correct (fingers crossed) I should pass and maybe even do better than that. :)
Ok onto studying for International Finance now, the scariest of all the exams I have this semester.

Today I went to school to catch up with a group member i've had this semester to do some group study, I've never really done the whole studying with other people. Generally because I feel like I don't have enough time and that others will probably slow me down as I go at breakneck speeds to cover what I need to know. However todays 5 to 6 hour session was really good and actually helped me get head around what I need to cover. But anyway that's not what I want to talk about, what I want to talk about is what when I got to school. I ended up walking past this guy that went to high school with, i've seen him before and we don't acknowledge each other probably because of these reasons:
For Him: He probably doesn't say anything because James and I (and then later Ben) use to give him so much shit when we went to school that he probably thinks that I'll be a wanker to him if he says anything.
For Me: Well I wasn't sure it was really him until the 4th or 5th time I walked past him, by that time he stopped looking at me like he knew me and basically tries to avoid eye contact with me because of the whole awkwardness thing.
Anyway back to the main story, after I saw him I sat down with my group member and mentioned that I just saw a guy from my high school that went to school here and that is actually something pretty strange since my high school is about 4 or 5 hours drive from here. Then my group member goes, "where did you use to go to high school?" I answer "Bayview College in this town Portland, have you ever heard of Portland? It's a little coastal town past Warnambool blah blah...", stock standard response, he was a little taken back and then said "I'm from Portland and I went to Bayview". I was all WTF and then thought about his name and still couldn't picture him going to Bayview cause it is such a small school and you pretty much know everyone! At this point I felt like yelling out "There's no Angus McLeod in North Kilt Town, Why you're not from Scotland at all!" However this would have been insane and I may have scared the fellow off. Anyway, I'm sure shrike and res are thinking "WHATS HIS BLOODY NAME?!" Well for Internet privacy sakes lets just say that he said he was in the year above le soaps bro and has a very similar name to shrike :) (figure out that cryptic puzzle :P).
Anyway it was spooky, real spooky. I started feeling pretty old then he told me that he was 23, and since I am 25 I was like "huh?" because he was so many year levels below me, however he was old for his class and I was young for my class and so we figured that's how our ages are so close.
We also figured that there are probably only 3 Bayview students studying at Swinburne, and thats a lot supposedly, considering he told me that only about a 1/4 of kids from his year level left Portland after they finished high school and its getting worse. Quite a change from our year level which was probably at least 3/4?
Anyway that's that for now.
EDIT
Our yeah now I remember why I mentioned the other dood I walked past. I told my group guy to let him know that I feel terrible for giving him so much shit years ago and I hope there are no hard feelings. I've got a feeling I'm going to approach him the next time I see him (and I'm not in a terrible rush to be somewhere). In all honestly I hope he is alright with everything and doesn't hold a grudge, I'd hate to feel like I really hurt his feelings which may have really affected him in a negative way, high school can be so cruel... I know this from experience!

My first onset of exam stress/fear has just set in for the semester. Uh oh.
In other news, I ate too much candy today due to going to USA foods and buying lots of sun damaged product. Some of the treats were really unaffected by the damage taste wise, but others I wasn't so sure of. There were extreme cake mixes there that I thought would have been damn taste to make, I should have bought a cake mix.

Ahh it is finally getting a bit cooler, I'm sitting here eating a 25c packet of frosty junior mints (just pulled them outta the freezer), listening to some music and working on a study plan for my ecommerce exam. Ahhh it is the simple things in life.

What the fuck. Now they have ballroom dancers and some quasi spice girls group that is playing classical instruments dancing/playing around the presenting track.
Now that's a real horse racin' experience...
Now that's a real horse racin' experience...
They should have a race at the Melbourne cup where they line up all the b grade Australian celebrities and wannabe celebrities at the starting gate, and then make them run around the race track in their very expensive get ups, with little "challenge" stations every 100 metres. At these stations will be things like "The baked beans slippery slide" and the "rancid haggis pie eating table" and the "Exploding fish guts commando course". Then if they win they get to have their 30 seconds on the Channel 7 broadcast of the Melbourne Cup. Cause from watching it, it seems like every wannabe is climbing over their own mother to get on atm.
Also Australia will not be talking about who won this bloody race for the rest of our lives, who cares?
